MySENFamily began with my own journey as a mother, trying to understand my child.

I spent years searching, researching and asking questions, not because I wanted to find a label, but because I wanted to understand how his mind worked, what he needed and how we, as a family, could support him.

​

Along the way, I began to understand something much bigger. Neurodiversity is not a tag that defines who we are. It is part of the natural diversity of human minds, different ways of thinking, learning, processing, communicating and experiencing the world.

​

Through my child, I also began to recognise differences within my own family, and eventually in myself. Things that had once felt confusing or simply “different” started to make sense. It completely changed the way I saw neurodiversity.

​

That journey taught me the power of understanding. And it became the reason I created MySENFamily:

to share knowledge, raise awareness and help others look beyond labels and see the person first.

Because the more we understand different minds, the better we understand each other.

WHY​

 

At MySENFamily, we believe that understanding should come first.

Our aim is to make knowledge about neurodiversity clear, accessible and practical, helping families, educators, organisations and communities understand different minds without fear or unnecessary complexity.

​

Because when we understand how people function, we stop asking them simply to fit in.

We start creating environments where more people can belong.

​

MySENFamily was born from motherhood, but it grew from a much larger belief: that changing the way we understand different minds can help us build a more informed, connected and inclusive society.​​​​
