WhY WE DO IT

Understanding Different Minds Starts Here
Neurodiversity is the idea that every brain works differently.

Some people think, learn, communicate, focus or experience the world in ways that may be different from what is considered typical. This includes conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Differences (SLD) like: Dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and other natural differences in how minds work.

At MySENFamily, we believe these differences are not deficits, but natural variations of the human brain. They are part of human diversity, bringing unique strengths and potential. Neurodiversity encourages us to see neurological differences as a normal part of human variation.

This does not mean people never need support. Some individuals may experience real difficulties with learning, anxiety, communication, executive function or daily life. But those challenges do not mean a person is broken or psychologically unwell.

With understanding and the right support, people can succeed and often turn perceived limitations into unique strengths or even SUPERPOWERS.

Our Story

MySENFamily was created by two mothers with a simple belief: understanding how different minds work should be clear, supportive and accessible to everyone.

It started with our children and ourselves.

We realised they experienced the world differently and as we searched for ways to support them, we began to recognise many of those same patterns in ourselves.

What began as a personal journey quickly became something bigger: a desire to share what we had learned with others, helping families avoid losing precious time, energy and wellbeing trying to piece together information that is often scattered and difficult to navigate.

Why It Matters

Neurodivergent people don’t need to be “fixed.”

They bring:

  • Unique perspectives

  • Creative thinking

  • Deep focus and passion

  • New ways of seeing the world

When these differences are understood and supported, challenges can become strengths and unique advantages.

Our Mission

To create a world where every mind is understood, supported and valued.
